Many hurt in bus crash on I91

Putney, Vermont, December 3, 2010….  A tour bus taking dozens of people on a Canadian ski trip drove across 3 lanes of Interstate 91 on Friday afternoon. Vermont State Police report that several people were critically injured. The crash is still being investigated. The bus, which is owned by Tour World of Danville, Pa., was part of a convoy headed for Quebec City for a ski trip. The 44 passengers were students from UMass.

Early reports indicate that the bus driver might have suffered a heart attack or anxiety attack, according to the owner of the bus company.

Incredibly the bus did not hit any other vehicles as it crossed the highway and went into the wrong lane. It came to rest on its right side in an embankment.

At Donahue Law we see this kind of thing all the time. Sounds like it could have been much worse, but we wish all those injured a good recovery. I’m positive there are many family members and injury victims who are very worried and concerned. Their lives have been turned upside down.

Keep your strength.
