I’m sitting at the Gerald Ford Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan on my way home to Keene, NH via Detroit.
I’m representing a client in Michigan, and had to put together a trial team with a Michigan lawyer. In the process, It dawned on me that I was doing things injury victims should do before they hire just any lawyer. So allow me to share some tips with you on how to hire an injury lawyer.
After a lot of homework I found and hired a top-notch, true-blue lawyer. I was impressed with his character, record and willingness to go to trial, if necessary.
The thing that strikes me about the best trial lawyers is their passion for the case.
If your lawyer does not believe in you and the justness of your claim, he can not do a very good job, and he’ll never convince a jury to make an award for you.
Passion is contagious.
Never underestimate the value of hiring a lawyer who cares.
I wanted to hire someone I could relate to; someone I liked; someone who listened to my concerns; someone who could give clear answers to all my questions; someone with genuine enthusiasm for the justness of my case;someone who has been around the block a few times on similar cases; someone with the guts and courage to go the distance; and someone real.
You should do the same in your search for an injury lawyer. Do your homework. Ask your friends, family and coworkers. Do not just rely on advertising. Meet with lawyers and trust your good sense and judgment. Always remember that you are the consumer. If you have a good case, lots of lawyers would love to help you, so choose a good one.
The bad lawyers, crooks, and phonies charge the same as the best and most ethical lawyers.
The right choice will make all the difference.
I’d be honored to help you.
